How much money will it take to support a campaign, a certain number of insertions, points for TV schedule? Oh its a small budget? Oh what a pity, we won’t be able to do very much. Sigh.

But maybe if we were just a little scrappy and a bit more accepting of small budgets it would allow us to me a more creative. My four years at UConn certainly showed me that silver spoon kids are the least motivated, perhaps the same is true for us agency folks….Or maybe I just want a reason to include a line item for Panda costumes in my next media plan.

Without a doubt, the only spot that had me laughing out loud like a fool in quite a long time. I think the product is totally ridiculous, but the spot from the baby casting, to the copy writing is genius, I might buy a pack or two just to show my support to the agency.

I’d love to see this executed across outdoor placements (billboards, bus shelters, etc) with random hoarded stuff differeing in each placement.

Yes thats 3:33 of hamster spots. They made seven spots. SEVEN. What do you think the hamster day rate is for being on set? Do I get a cut if they come from my HamsterFarm (see all one word)?

I’m not entirely sure this makes me want to run out a buy a lotto ticket so much as I want to go buy hamsters, but maybe I’d buy a hamster and then buy it a lotto ticket, so I guess ultimately they’ve convinced me to buy into the lotto.

My previous laptop was a Vaio and I loved it, but tragically it died after four years with me. Well done viral that makes me feel like Vaio is the brand for me, actually made me find out more information about the W and write a post about it. Well done Sony!

Nutri-Grain strawberry yogurt bars are one of my favorites. Great spot although I could do without the alarm sound…I despise that sound.

Discovery does some great work on their own promotions and advertising for the week long extravaganza, but I have yet to see decent advertising within programming. With the amount of loyalty faans have for Shark Week I am incredibly surprised by the lack of new creative for spots. I stumbled onto this one for MoveOn.org which is, sadly, the only spot I have ever seen created for the Shark Week.

I wonder how many copy revisions they went through to get this right….
